Perth Jewish Aged Home facilities are located in the suburb of Dianella which is about 6 kilometres north of the Central Business District of Perth. There is a small group of shops within walking distance. The Dianella Shopping Plaza with supermarkets and several small stores is a little further from our location - on a weekly basis a free bus service is provided to this Shopping Plaza. In the neighbouring suburb, Morley, there is the Galleria Shopping Centre which is one of the largest suburban shopping centres in Perth with several supermarkets, department stores and a large diversity of variety stores.
A frequent bus service stops close by going into the city of Perth, as well as to the Galleria Shopping Centre in Morley.

The land owned by Aged Home, Carmel School and Maccabi is located in Woodrow Ave and Cresswell Road. The suburb of Yokine is defined as that land west of Cresswell Road - therefore facilities with an address in Woodrow Avenue west of Cresswell Road are in Yokine, whereas address in Cresswell Road and also those in Woodrow Avenue east of Cresswell Road are in Dianella.
The Jewish population of Perth is predominantly in the suburbs of Mount Lawley, Menora, Dianella, Yokine and Noranda. Geographically, Dianella is close to being in the middle of these suburbs. Orthodox synagogues are situated in Menora, Noranda and Yokine and the Progressive synagogue is in Mount Lawley.
Adjacent to the Aged Home is Carmel School which caters for Jewish children from Kindergarten, through Primary and High Schools to Year 12. Also adjacent is the Maccabi sports ground and facilities. The Jewish Community Centre, which is the focal centre of Perth Jewish activities (aside from the shules) and includes a hall, youth rooms, offices etc, is also next door.
