Caring through the generations
Since the Home was founded in 1961, the caring people of our community have helped by making generous bequests and donations to the Home. With the rapid ageing of the Jewish community and the unprecedented increase in the number of cases of dementia, the need today is greater than ever.
There is a special mitzvah called Hiddur Pnai Zaken (respect for elders) -“bringing forth the radiance of our elders’ faces.”
At the Home, we provide our residents with the highest standard of loving care so that each one may enjoy a full and active lifestyle with dignity, in a safe environment embracing the timeless values of Jewish culture and tradition.
Many of our residents are without family support are financially disadvantaged and are unable to meet the increasingly high cost of accommodation, facilities and professional care at the level we believe is the right of every elderly member of our Jewish community.
We invite you to become part of the Maurice Zeffert Home bequest tradition and through your foresight and generosity, pass on the sacred Jewish values of caring for our elderly, as we would hope to be cared for in our own advancing years.
There are many ways that you can make this meaningful contribution. You can:
Bequest a specific amount of money
Bequest a percentage of your estate
Bequest property, shares or insurance policies
It is actually the bequests that we have received from our generous benefactors that have enabled us to build this remarkable facility that is home to our Residents. It is only with these gifts and endowments that we are able to undertake any new projects, since we do not receive commonwealth funding for these. The Maurice Zeffert Home encourages potential donors to seriously consider assisting the Home when making their will.

Donations to the Maurice Zeffert Home are tax-deductible and help the Home provide an exceptional service to the aged in our community, including the financially disadvantaged.
Where Residents of their families have the financial capacity, the home will gladly accept tax deductible donations, either large or small with equal appreciation.
